[...] Although study coordinator figure exists for at least two decades, the CRCs position and their key role in the scenario of clinical trials, have only recently been defined [[4], [5], [6], [7]]. While the responsibilities of investigators, sponsors and clinical monitors are well defined by national regulations of clinical trials and international guidelines on Good Clinical Practice, the importance of the CRC position, their responsibilities and main tasks, have not yet been completely described.
